Fixing stuff around yourself

Ever since my childhood, I used to create a mess around me while studying/working. I always flooded my desk with papers, water bottles, stationery, and keeping all the colored pencils out of the box, spread them out on the table because I was lazy enough to avoid searching for them in the box every time I wanted to change the color. And this is how I work till now, the only thing that changed is that the color pencils have now replaced with my laptop, books and other gadgets

In the past few days, I have been learning about the word “KHUDI”, taking responsibility for little things, taking ownership, and fixing it on my own without being asked by anyone. So I tried to take the initiative and started with something small.

So the area, I am sitting in right now, is my university library and as always, I have created a mess by spreading my stuff all over the table. As a part of this week’s activity, I was asked to fix one thing around me. So why shouldn’t I start with “improving my bad habit”?

I started with making up some space on the table and putting the unnecessary items aside and in order to do so, I put my chargers and earphones in the bag, piled up my notebook, put all the papers in a file, and kept all these stuff together so that there will be a room left for other people to keep their stuff.

I am feeling accomplished and happy after completing this task as it gave me a

sense of responsibility to put up with my mess by myself and make room for

others.

I would have completed this task later when my friends would ask me to make up space for them because I am lazy enough to do it myself.
